Lacinda Moore – ΘK #5

Lacinda Moore has been involved in serving her community since she was a child. As a young adult, she worked for Santa Rosa Parks and Recreation in their After School Gang Prevention program for two years. She worked for Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition Safe Routes to School program for five years. She has been involved with the North Bay Organizing Project in the Transit Equity and Neighborhood Development Task Force.
Lacinda attended Sonoma State University and was first in her family to graduate from college. She received her bachelor of arts in history and Spanish, with distinctions and minors in Chicano Latino Studies and Latin American Studies. She has served as historian and alumni representative at her campus for Sigma Pi Alpha. She has served as National Council’s Director of Academic Affairs for Sigma Pi Alpha since 2017. She enjoys traveling to the different chapters for Sigma Pi Alpha Conferences and Retreats.
Lacinda has been teaching middle school special education for several years now and loving every day of it. She’s also part of the teacher’s LGBT Caucus. She’s currently enrolled North Coast School of Education’s “Be A Teacher” Program. She’s getting married this summer to her high school sweetheart of 15 years.
