Leslye Salinas – Alpha Omicron #14
National Council President
Hello! My name is Leslye Salinas. I am currently the president of Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. I moved to Berkeley when I was 7 years old from Peru. I have lived in the Bay Area for the last 20 years and would not move out of it. I went to Berkeley schools and in 2013 I earned a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Sociology and Legal Studies with a minor in Education. In 2016, I obtained a M.A. in Leadership Studies. For a living, I am the Business Manager at Roses in Concrete Community School serving over 200 families in an East Oakland school. My passion for future generations is not only in what I do in my work in the day to day, but also why I am involved with Sigma. In the summer of 2018, I began a Doctorate program in Organizational Change & Leadership. The combination of my lived experiences as an undergrad and education on leadership skills support me in my position and on how to continue to improve our organization to last for the years to come.
