Alum Association Granted Tax-Exempt Status Under Section 501(c)(3)
Dear Alum Association Members and Supporters,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. The Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alum Association is proud to announce that we have been granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This significant milestone marks a new chapter in our organization’s journey and enhances our ability to serve our members and the community.
The attainment of 501(c)(3) status is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our executive board, as well as the continued support and involvement of our members. This tax-exempt designation recognizes our Alum Association as a nonprofit organization operating exclusively for charitable, educational, and social purposes. As a result, your donations and contributions to the Alum Association are now tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The benefits of achieving tax-exempt status are multifaceted. We will now have more opportunities to seek grants and sponsorships, enabling us to expand our programs and initiatives. This designation also allows us to engage in community outreach efforts, scholarships, mentorship programs, and other endeavors that align with our mission and vision.
With our newfound tax-exempt status, we are committed to even greater transparency and accountability. We will continue to work diligently to fulfill our obligations as a tax-exempt organization, maintaining accurate financial records and providing annual reports to our members, donors, and the IRS.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated members, sisters, volunteers, and supporters who have stood by us throughout this journey. Your unwavering commitment and enthusiasm have been instrumental in achieving this important milestone. Together, we will continue to foster a vibrant community that uplifts, empowers, and connects our fellow Sigma alums.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our tax-exempt status, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at alumassociationfinance@gmail.com.
Once again, thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission. We look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for the Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alum Association as we strive to make a positive impact on our alums and the community we serve.
Sincerely,
